Car insurance is the most-shopped policy in India and also the most misunderstood. Almost everyone compares premium; almost nobody compares the excess, the depreciation schedule or how the insurer behaves at claim time — which is where the actual money is decided.
We line up the quotes with those details visible, so you can see what a cheaper premium is costing you elsewhere in the policy.

Car Insurance — common questions
What is zero-depreciation cover and is it worth it?
A normal claim deducts depreciation on replaced parts, so you pay part of the bill yourself. Zero-depreciation removes that deduction. It is generally worth it for a car under five years old, where plastic and metal parts still carry high replacement values; on an older car the extra premium often outweighs the benefit.
Will my No Claim Bonus survive if I change insurer?
Yes. NCB belongs to you, not the insurer, and moves with you as long as the new policy starts within 90 days of the old one expiring. Let it lapse beyond that and the accumulated discount resets to zero.
My policy expired last month — what now?
You are currently uninsured and cannot legally drive. Cover can be restored, but most insurers will require an inspection of the car before issuing a policy on a lapsed one. Share the expiry date and we will arrange it.
