Two-wheeler premiums are small enough that renewal slips people's minds — which is exactly why so many bikes on Indian roads are uninsured. The fine is the least of it: a two-wheeler involved in a serious accident with a pedestrian can generate a tribunal award many times the value of the bike.
Multi-year policies solve the forgetting problem outright, and we will tell you when one is cheaper than renewing annually.

Two-Wheeler Insurance — common questions
Is a long-term two-wheeler policy worth it?
Usually yes. It locks the third-party rate for the full term, removes the annual renewal risk, and often works out cheaper overall. The trade-off is a larger payment upfront and less freedom to switch insurer during the term.
Is theft covered under third-party insurance?
No. Third-party covers only harm you cause to others. Theft — by far the most common two-wheeler claim — is covered only under a comprehensive policy.
